Gifts
Catastrophe! Tires squeal, glass breaks and metal crumples. The bike and I are a wreck. They part me out like an old Dodge. A kidney to her, corneas to him. My heart to a nice young man. May it serve him well.
Sad, tragic story. You described the crash so vividly and captured beautifully how the donation of organs brought hope to someone else. Beautifully told!♥
"They part me out like an old Dodge." Ha! I can hear my dad saying something like that. I mean that in a good way; I've never heard that simile before, but it's so well put it feels like I have, you know?

DeleteI'm a donor - I just hate the fact that I have to die to give! lol - that said, I DO donate my blood every couple of months.
